5154 aluminum plate is an alloy in the wrought aluminum-magnesium 5000 series.

As an aluminum-magnesium alloy, 5154 aluminum plate combines medium-to-high strength with excellent weldability. The main alloying element is magnesium (Mg), which is about 3.1%-3.9%, and contains small amounts of manganese (Mn) and chromium (Cr).

5154 aluminum plate is a wrought alloy. It can be formed by rolling, extrusion and forging, but not cast.

5154 aluminum plate can be cold worked to produce a temper with higher strength but lower ductility. It is not usually clad.

H32: semi-hard state, high strength and good formability.

H34: Higher strength than H32 state, but slightly worse formability.

O state: annealed state, soft state, suitable for deep processing.
